1979 vintage was the last vintage of this bottle style. From 1980 it changd to classic Bordeaux bottle.
1855 the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification placed Rauzan-Segla in sixth place, earning the status of 2eme Grand Cru Classe (2nd Growth). 🎖Robert Parker's list of the 20 great wines "The Magical 20" includes Rauzan-Segla.
BACKGROUND
The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxiemes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. The alternate name "Rausan Segla" was also frequently used until 1994 when the original "Rauzan Segla" again became the official name.
