The 1993 Henri Rebourseau Chambertin Grand Cru is a rare, old-school Burgundy treasure. It offers a complex bouquet of dried red fruits, forest floor, spice, and cedar, with a silky, textural palate that speaks to its age and pedigree. 【 Rare Grand Cru 】
Given its age, please handle the bottle with extreme care to avoid disturbing the sediment. Use an Ah-So or a reliable corkscrew, as old corks can be fragile. Decant gently for 30-45 minutes to allow it to breathe, but do not over-aerate.
Pair with roasted game birds, duck confit, or a simple rack of lamb with herbs to complement its earthy, mature profile.
An exceptional choice for a milestone celebration or an intimate evening for serious Burgundy collectors who appreciate the beauty of aged Pinot Noir.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Rebourseau is a well-regarded wine producer based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the northern Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or heartland. The domaine produces principally red wines from the Pinot Noir variety. The estate began in the mid-19th century when Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau and his wife Louise-Victoire Philippon consolidated vineyard holdings. It was passed to his sons Émile and Henri, and in 1949 to Henri's son Pierre Rebourseau. In 1980, Pierre's grandson Jean de Surrel took over, shifting to organic and biodynamic viticulture. In 2018, Olivier and Martin Bouygues acquired a controlling share. Bénigne and Louis now manage the estate with Hervé Berland.

What is the best way to open this 1993 vintage?
For a 1993 vintage, the cork may be delicate. We recommend using an Ah-So, Durand, or Sovy Vintage Wine Opener to ensure a clean extraction.
