FEATURES
The 1992 vintage in the Loire Valley was marked by a mild winter and early spring, followed by warm and sunny August conditions that led to an early harvest. This resulted in magnificent, fresh, and lively wines, with white Grand Cru wines from this year continuing to offer great pleasure.
This sweet wine presents a beautiful golden color with complex and delicate aromas. Expect notes of apricot, apple, peach, honey, ginger, marmalade, orange, caramel, hazelnut, and papaya. It's often described as a "thick elixir" with a fresh orange complexity, apricot, and honey, boasting a perfect balance between sugar and acidity. Further nuances of thyme, menthol, licorice, pastries, and old rum can also be found.
An excellent companion for mature and hard cheeses, fruity desserts, and blue cheeses. It can also be enjoyed as a luxurious aperitif, or paired with foie gras toast, desserts featuring marzipan and frangipane, or blue-veined cheeses like Fourme d'Ambert or Roquefort. For a truly indulgent experience, consider almond crusts, zabayon desserts, candied fruits, pistachio ice cream, or toffee caramel.
Perfect for celebrating special milestones, as an elegant aperitif to impress guests, or as the grand finale to a sophisticated dinner party.
As a mature sweet wine, it should be served chilled, ideally between 8-10°C (46-50°F). Decanting is generally not required unless there's noticeable sediment, but allowing it to breathe for a short while after opening can help its intricate aromas fully unfold.
