FEATURES
The Dom Pérignon Rosé 2010 Damien Hirst Edition is a unique collaboration between the prestigious Champagne house and the internationally acclaimed artist Damien Hirst. This limited edition, released in 2026, reimagines the Maison's iconic shield with Hirst's vibrant Kaleidoscope design, featuring warm shades of pink, red, and magenta. The 2010 vintage itself was challenging, marked by a cold winter and spring, followed by a hot, dry summer and heavy August rains that necessitated rigorous grape selection. Despite the difficulties, the resulting Champagne is a commendable effort, offering a radiant rosé hue with luminous copper reflections. On the nose, it presents ripe tropical fruits and vibrant red berries, leading to quince and dark chocolate, with fresher notes of cardamom and vanilla. The palate is rich yet precise, with a silky, concentrated texture, combining power with unexpected lightness, and a long, elegant finish. It has received high praise, with James Suckling scoring it 99 points, noting its depth and intensity with aromas of iron, strawberries, tobacco, and dried flowers. 【Artistic collaboration with Damien Hirst and exceptional challenging vintage】. This Champagne has already benefited from around twelve years of maturation in the cellar before its release, giving it great aromatic complexity.
Food pairing suggestions: This rosé Champagne is a superb match for seafood and briny flavors like raw fish or sea urchins, as well as vegetables with bitter notes such as artichoke. It also pairs beautifully with richer, more highly seasoned meats, such as spiced pork belly or duck breast with black olives. For an Eastern pairing, consider Peking duck, spicy Korean BBQ, or even sushi and sashimi.
Event suggestions: Perfect for a grand celebration, an art exhibition opening, a luxurious gift, or a sophisticated dinner where both wine and art are appreciated.
