FEATURES
The 2019 Domaine Gourt de Mautens Blanc IGP Vaucluse is a complex, unique, and almost impossible-to-describe white wine, embodying Jérôme Bressy's rebel spirit. It's known for its intense character and golden color, indicating ripeness. The nose is filled with orange peel, a touch of brioche, and ripe pineapple, feeling somewhat like an aged Viognier but with greater depth and tension. Other aromatic notes include exotic fruits, honey melon, lychee, white peach, honey, and vanilla, alongside spring flowers and lavender. On the palate, it delivers great acidity and impressive concentration, with a dense yet fresh texture and a very long finish featuring layers of fruit, minerality, and subtle oxidative notes. This wine is a blend of numerous indigenous grape varieties, including Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, Bourboulenc, Clairette, Picardan, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, and Picpoul Blanc & Gris, from old vines (32 to 52 years old) cultivated biodynamically.
🍴 Food Pairing: This intense white wine pairs well with braised dishes, roast white meats, fried food, and stinky cheese. Its complexity also makes it suitable for rich seafood dishes or poultry with creamy sauces.
🥂 Event Suggestions: Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party or a special occasion where a unique and characterful white wine is desired. It's also an excellent choice for those looking to explore biodynamic wines from the Southern Rhône. 【A complex, unique, and intense biodynamic white wine from a visionary winemaker.】
