FEATURES
🏰 The 1998 vintage in the Northern Rhône was hot and dry, yielding concentrated, highly pigmented fruit, resulting in structured and powerful wines. This Jamet Côte Rôtie 1998 is a testament to the vintage's quality, offering complex aromatics of deep blackberry fruit, smoked meats, camphor, and black truffle. The palate is elegant and satiny, with melting tannins and a stunningly long mineral and savoury finish. Expect notes of violets, black olives, smoked bacon, and iron, with rich black cherry and black currant flavours enveloping fine chalky tannins. The tannins are supple and perfectly ripe, contributing to a silky texture and well-integrated acidity.
🍴 This powerful yet elegant Côte Rôtie is an excellent match for roasted lamb, beef fillet, game dishes, or a selection of aged cheeses. Its savoury and spicy notes will complement rich, flavourful meats.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, a gathering of Rhône wine connoisseurs, or a special occasion where a mature, complex red wine is desired. It's currently at its peak, offering a beautiful expression of a classic Côte Rôtie. 【Complex aromatics and satiny palate】
