Beaurenard, Chateauneuf-du-pape Boisrenard, 2007
Red
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
The 2007 Beaurenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Boisrenard hails from an exceptionally dry summer in the Southern Rhône, a vintage characterized by good aromatic balance and beautiful colors. Robert Parker famously declared 2007 the 【greatest vintage he ever tasted in the southern Rhone】. This wine, crafted from old vines between 60-100 years of age, presents a modern profile upon release that evolves into pure Provençal character with cellaring.
On the nose, expect powerful and penetrating aromas, with notes of sweet black cherries, blackberries, dried flowers, garrigue, and licorice. Some tasters also detect smoky black fruits, hints of wood, chocolate, and violets. The palate is rich and powerful, medium to full-bodied, with red fruits (plums, a hint of black cherry) and resolved tannins. It offers an elegant, silky profile with sweet fruit and a clean style, though some older notes suggest an aromatic and savory quality with hints of leather and venison. The wine is deep ruby in color, clear and bright.
🍴 Food Pairing: This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is very food-friendly. It pairs wonderfully with lamb, and would also complement rich stews, roasted game, or strong cheeses.
🥂 Fit for Event: The 2007 Boisrenard is drinking beautifully now and is in a really great place at 18 years old (as of 2025). With a projected longevity of two decades from 2012, it's perfect for a celebratory dinner or a special occasion where a mature, high-quality Rhône red is desired.
