In the glass, expect a saturated ruby to deep purple color. The nose offers a complex array of ripe, spice-tinged blueberry, cherry, and blackberry, alongside game, potpourri, sandalwood, garrigue, raw steak, leather, truffle, and peppery spice. On the palate, it's full-bodied and rich, with concentrated black and blue fruit, exotic spice, licorice, and floral pastille flavors. Notes of black olives, asphalt, black cherries, briery spice, plum, black currant, black tea, fruitcake, and anise are often present, supported by velvety, substantial tannins and a long, smoky finish.
This wine is built for aging, benefiting from 4-6 years in bottle and capable of evolving beautifully for 15-20 years or more. While enjoyable now, it will gain further complexity with cellar time. Decanting is recommended to allow its full aromatic profile to unfold.
🍴 Food Pairing: An ideal match for braised meats, roasted lamb, beef stew, game dishes (such as venison or wild boar), truffle-infused cuisine, and strong, aged cheeses.
🥂 Event Fit: Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, a gathering of Rhône wine enthusiasts, or as a valuable addition to a cellar for future enjoyment on special occasions.
