The 2009 Coche-Dury Pommard Les Vaumuriens is an elegant red Burgundy crafted entirely from Pinot Noir, sourced from a tiny 0.15-hectare parcel within the Les Vaumuriens lieu-dit. This vintage, marked by warm and ripe conditions, yields a wine with a medium color, good body, fruit, and softness. The nose is characterized by dark berry notes, evolving to include cherry, raspberry, and red fruits, alongside earthy undertones of leather and forest. Subtle spice notes of pepper and licorice, with hints of vanilla and toast, add to its complexity. On the palate, it is ample and fine on cherry, with a firm texture and powerful floral and fruity flavors in the mid-palate, leading to a peppery finish with a sensation of wet earth. Coche-Dury is renowned for its traditional "à l'ancienne" vinification methods, emphasizing the natural expression of its limestone clay terroir. 【Rare, traditionally crafted Pommard from a tiny parcel, showcasing elegant fruit and earthy complexity】.
🍴 Food Pairing: This refined Pinot Noir is a superb match for classic Burgundian dishes. Pair it with roasted beef, veal, poultry, or game such as venison. For Eastern pairings, consider Peking duck, delicate mushroom hot pot, or a savory Japanese sukiyaki.
🥂 Event Suggestions: This wine is ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special occasion celebrating a milestone, or a focused tasting session for Burgundy enthusiasts. Its elegance and complexity make it a memorable choice for intimate gatherings.
