The estate proudly practices organic (Ecocert), biodynamic (Biodyvin), and vegan farming. Their vineyards, located on a unique plateau in Saumur, are characterized by flint with gravel and clay soils, abundant biodiversity, and a strict no-chemical policy. 【Historic estate founded in the 10th century, practicing sustainable, organic, biodynamic, and vegan farming.】
The 2013 Saumur Eolithe is a red wine primarily crafted from Cabernet Franc (98%), with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon (2%). It is known for its floral notes that gracefully give way to vibrant red fruit characteristics, including cherry, red fruit, and raspberry. The wine undergoes aging on lees for approximately 14 months, contributing to its complexity and texture.
🍴 This Cabernet Franc-dominant wine from the Loire Valley pairs exceptionally well with a variety of dishes. Classic pairings include roasted poultry, charcuterie, and earthy dishes. It is also a good match for red meat.
🥂 With its commitment to organic and biodynamic principles, the Château de Fosse-Sèche Saumur Eolithe 2013 is an excellent choice for those who appreciate sustainably produced wines. Its elegant red fruit and floral notes make it versatile for various dining occasions, from a casual dinner with friends to a more thoughtful meal celebrating natural winemaking.
