Louis Jadot, Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques, 1995
The 1995 Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques is from a vintage characterized by a small, high-quality crop, ideal for long aging. The 1995 Burgundy vintage generally produced full-bodied and complex wines. This particular wine is known for its magnificent deep color and a pure, expressive nose featuring small black fruits, leather, and spice aromas. It offers powerful concentration with a good tannic structure. Tasting notes often highlight dried red cherry, toast, spices, mushroom, and charr wood, with medium acidity and tannin, indicating it is still holding well. Further complexity includes notes of cherry, plum, hints of anise and forest floor, leading to soft red fruit on the palate with good acidity, minerality, and earthiness. The tannins and oak are well integrated, culminating in a very good finish. Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques is a highly regarded Premier Cru vineyard, and Louis Jadot is a respected négociant known for quality.
🍴 Food pairing suggestions: This wine pairs perfectly with game, meats in sauce, mushrooms, and strong cheeses. Consider roasted lamb, beef bourguignon, or a rich mushroom dish to complement its complexity and structure.
🥂 Event suggestions: An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner, a special occasion, or a gathering of wine enthusiasts who appreciate mature, complex Burgundy. It is drinking beautifully now and offers a memorable experience. [【強勁優雅的熱夫雷香貝丹,來自高品質、耐陳年年份】]
