The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru vineyard itself is renowned for its varied soil composition, contributing to the wine's complexity. While the 1992 vintage in Burgundy saw some challenges with rain, September brought good weather for harvest, and careful selection was essential. This wine is known for an highly aromatic nose displaying lovely, elegant, complex fruit with medium weight and supple flavors. Expect notes of red fruit like strawberry and cherry, complemented by earthy and leathery undertones, and hints of oak.
Given its age, this 1992 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru should be handled with care. Old corks can be fragile, so a specialized opener is recommended. A gentle decant for 1-2 hours before serving at 16-18°C (60-64°F) will allow the wine to breathe and reveal its full spectrum of aromas and flavors, while also separating any potential sediment. 【A highly aromatic and complex expression of Clos de la Roche's unique terroir】.
