The 2020 Coche-Dury Bourgogne Rouge is a red wine from Burgundy, crafted by a domaine renowned for its meticulous viticulture and traditional winemaking. While Coche-Dury is most famous for its Chardonnay, they also produce exquisite Pinot Noirs, with their Bourgogne Rouge parcels surrounding the home and winery. The 2020 vintage in Burgundy, despite tricky conditions, is largely considered excellent. Coche-Dury's Pinot Noir is fully de-stemmed and undergoes a 'vinification douce' or soft vinification, then aged in barrel for 15 to 22 months and bottled unfiltered. 【A rare glimpse into some of the greatest vineyard management and winemaking in the world】. The wines are known for their vibrant acidity, depth, and ageability.
🍴 Food Pairing: This red Burgundy is described as 'Red - Light and Perfumed'. It pairs well with gamey meats, braised dishes, meaty fish, and red sauce dishes. Specifically, its bright acidity and delicate fruit notes make it an excellent match for roasted quail or French duck confit, where it can beautifully cut through the richness of the duck fat. It also complements chicken and turkey.
🥂 Event Fit: The Coche-Dury Bourgogne Rouge 2020 is an excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner, a gathering of wine enthusiasts, or as a versatile wine for a holiday meal. Its quality and the producer's reputation make it a wine that is sure to impress.
