FEATURES
The 2021 Domaine de la Grange des Pères Blanc is a highly sought-after white wine from the Languedoc region of France, known for its rarity and cult status. 【Extremely rare, iconic and mythological blend】. This vintage is the second released under the hand of Bernard Vaillé, who continues the legacy after the unexpected passing of cult winemaker Laurent Vaillé in 2021. The wine is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Chardonnay, and Gros Manseng, produced from less than 1 hectare of vines at an altitude of 250 to 300 meters in the Arboussas massif. Winemaking involves traditional methods, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and maturation for 24 months in barriques. Critics have noted its voluptuously-textured, full-bodied profile with superb concentration, often compared to a top-notch Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Tasting notes reveal layers of honey, white flowers, ripe stone fruit, citrus, baked apple, lemon meringue, and hints of apricot and brioche. It offers an oily richness balanced by medium to medium-plus acidity and a long, resonant finish. Some also detect notes of rockmelon, apricot, and peach, evolving into an incredible wine with aeration. The complexity is remarkable, with white flowers, citrus fruits, and tropical fruit on a mineral background of flint, striking a balance of freshness and fatness with a smoky note.
Food pairing suggestions include rich seafood dishes like grilled scallops or lobster, poultry with creamy sauces, or even a flavorful risotto. Given its richness and complexity, it can also stand up to mild curries or aged hard cheeses.
This wine is perfect for a special celebratory dinner, a sophisticated wine tasting event, or as a thoughtful gift for a discerning wine collector. Its rarity and critical acclaim make it a conversation starter and a true experience to savor.
