Tasting Notes: Expect vibrant red berry notes, including wild strawberry, sour cherry, cranberry, and raspberry, alongside hints of rose, violets, cracked pepper, and savoury spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied, characterized by bright, lively acidity and fine, silky tannins. It can also reveal nuances of wet garden soil, red prunes, subtle hints of leather and cedar, delicate grassy notes, and a pure minerality, making it an energetic and thirst-quenching wine.
Food Pairing: This is a food-friendly wine. It is an ideal companion for charcuterie boards, complementing dry sausage, cured ham, and pâté. It also pairs well with white meats such as roast chicken or stuffed turkey. Due to its low tannin content, it can even accompany fatty fish like grilled salmon or baked trout. Cheeses, including slightly matured goat cheese or creamy Camembert, and Asian cuisine, such as a fragrant Thai curry, are also excellent matches. It serves wonderfully as an aperitif.
Event Suggestions: Perfect for casual gatherings, picnics, or as a versatile wine to enjoy with a wide range of meals. Its inherent freshness makes it delightful for immediate consumption.
