FEATURES
The 2014 Didier Dagueneau Monts Damnés is a highly elegant Sancerre white wine, renowned for fully expressing the minerality of its Chavignol terroir. Since Didier Dagueneau's accidental death in 2008, his son Louis-Benjamin has skillfully continued the legacy, even being voted "Winemaker of the Year" by La Revue du Vin de France in January 2016. The domaine is internationally recognized for its fantastic Sauvignon wines, pushing Sauvignon Blanc far beyond varietal expression into a study of place, texture, and longevity. The nose is open and fruity, with notes of pineapple, lychee, floral hints, and licorice. The palate is rich and deep, offering richness, roundness, and volume, with abundant aromas of exotic and white fruits. Some tasters describe a light golden color, an interesting nose with soft flint stone and light pear, and lots of chalky mineral notes on the palate, along with unripe pear, gooseberry, and salty freshness. It is medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and a super long, excellent finish. 【A legendary Sancerre from steep, mineral-rich slopes, showcasing unparalleled precision and depth】.
