FEATURES
Jean Foillard is celebrated as a "Morgon Master" and a benchmark for Beaujolais, with his family vineyards located on the famed Côte du Py slope. The 2020 Morgon Côte du Py is considered one of the finest vintages of this cuvée in recent years. It bursts with aromas of peonies, orange rind, exotic spices, and dark berries. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, fleshy, and layered, with a deep, concentrated core of fruit, tangy acids, powdery tannins, and a long, sapid finish. It's intensely flavored and incisive, offering racy wild strawberries and raspberries with notes of white pepper, agave, and dried herbs. The wine is fresh, medium-bodied with silky, refined tannins, and a juicy, bright finish with lovely herbal allure. Some notes also mention cherries, black cherries, dark chocolate, slight spice, and even a floral tone, with serious minerality and earthy stone and plum notes. 【One of the finest vintages of this cuvée in recent years】. It is extremely drinkable now but also has good aging potential.
Food Pairing: This versatile red wine pairs exceptionally well with chicken and turkey dishes. It can also complement a simple Korean chicken dish, Cassoulet, grilled filet mignon, or even homemade Philly cheesesteaks.
Event Suggestions: Ideal for a casual weeknight dinner, a gathering with friends, or a special occasion where a vibrant and complex red wine is desired. It's a wine that can convert even the most die-hard anti-Beaujolais fanatics.
