Champagne Pommery is one of the grandest houses in Reims, founded in 1858. It was transformed into a global powerhouse by Madame Louise Pommery after she was widowed. She is famously credited with creating the first commercially successful 'Brut' (dry) Champagne in 1874, shifting the global palate away from sweet wines. The Pommery Brut Vintage is only produced in exceptional years, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. It undergoes extended aging in Pommery's spectacular Gallo-Roman chalk cellars. The resulting Champagne is elegant and complex, featuring notes of toasted brioche, ripe orchard fruits, and a refined, persistent finish.
