FEATURES
Jules Brochet's "Les Survivants" is a truly unique Champagne, with its name, meaning "The Survivors," reflecting the challenging 2021 harvest from which it was entirely derived. This one-off cuvée, produced in a limited run of only 1,501 bottles, showcases the estate's entire crop from that complex vintage. It's crafted from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, fermented and aged in oak barrels, then spending 24 months on its lees to develop complexity. Although disgorged without dosage, it retains about 7 g/l of residual sugar, lending it a beautifully rounded character. 【 A rare, one-off cuvée named "The Survivors" reflecting the challenging 2021 vintage, with only 1,501 bottles produced. 】
This Champagne presents a warm straw-gold color and offers a voluminous, generous, and harmonious taste with notes of pastry, fruit, and subtle oak accents. Expect aromas of baking spices, lemon confit, mandarin zest, and toasted nuts, with a delicate yeasty or biscuit undertone. It's medium to full-bodied and notably fleshy, structured by a vibrant, racy acidity that leads to a lively and long finish.
Food pairing suggestions for this expressive Champagne include seafood like scallops and crab, fatty salmon, poultry in a spicy sauce, smoked meats, and even pizza. It also pairs wonderfully with aged cheeses, nuts, roast white meats, and fried foods.
This Champagne is perfect for a hearty, thoughtful dinner, especially during the autumn and winter months, or a late summer gathering featuring rich seafood. It also serves as an excellent aperitif or a sophisticated choice for special occasions.
