FEATURES
The Petit Clergeot Chevry Brut Nature 2022 is a captivating Blanc de Noirs Champagne, crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from old vines (planted in 1975/1976) in the Chevry parcel of Polisot. This small, passionate grower house, led by Paul-Bastien Clergeot, is certified organic (since 2020/2021) and employs unique farming methods, including using pigs to turn the soil. The philosophy is 'une parcelle, un cépage, une année' – focusing on single plots, single grape varieties, and single vintages, with no blending or dosage. The wine is vinified in vats to preserve its pure, straightforward, and fresh style, and was disgorged on January 15, 2025.
On the nose, expect a rich and structured bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and toasted hints, alongside aromas of yellow apples, mirabelle plums, flowers, brioche, citrus, and lime. The palate is fresh and satisfying, offering a creamy texture, balanced acidity, and light mineral notes, culminating in a persistent and complex finish that perfectly balances power and finesse.
