FEATURES
🏰 A brilliant and classic Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from Hubert Lignier, the 2011 vintage is noted for its silky and expressive character, offering superb intensity and a very long, elegant finish. This Grand Cru displays a medium red color with some bricking at the edges. The bouquet is deep and beautiful, a mix of strawberries, cherries, beetroot, mustard seed, a great base of soil, woodsmoke, cedar, and rose petals. It can also present a spicy nose with oak, black cherries, and an animalistic quality. On the palate, it is deep, full-bodied, and transparent, with a fine core of fruit, superb intensity, focus, and fine-grained tannins. Expect sappy and delicious cherry with earthy notes, or dark attractive fruit, forest cake, cherries, liniment, and racy chalk notes. The wine is characterized by supple, rich tannins and a long, elegant, and utterly classic finish. The 2011 Burgundy vintage was generally better than expected, with good color, fruit, acidity, and suppleness. For Hubert Lignier, the 2011 wines came into their own at the end of the aging process, admirably respecting the terroirs, and the Grand Crus from this vintage have great potential.
🍴 This elegant Pinot Noir pairs exceptionally well with feathered game (grilled or in wine sauce), roast lamb in gravy, chicken in red wine sauce, glazed poultry, rib steak, and soft-centered cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner, a special celebration, or for collectors seeking a mature and complex Grand Cru 布根地 with significant aging potential.
