FEATURES
The 2010 vintage for Burgundy was exceptionally good, despite a challenging growing season with heavy frosts in winter. Cécile Tremblay, a rising star in Burgundy and great-niece of Henri Jayer, is renowned for her organic and biodynamic farming practices and minimal intervention winemaking.
This wine offers aromas of red berries, earth, and subtle spice, with a medium body, structured tannins, and refined acidity. It presents a refined, textured mélange of dark red and blue fruit, flowers, licorice, and spices, showcasing finely knit, articulated fruit and a supple personality. Tasting notes also suggest earthy, mineral, smoky, oaky, caramel, and red fruit characteristics.
Ideal food pairings include duck, goose, and other game birds.
This is a gracious wine, celebrated for its purity, finesse, and ability to age gracefully, making it highly sought after by collectors. While its anticipated maturity was 2012-2018, it remains a delightful wine to experience, showcasing the unique character of the Très Girard vineyard.
