FEATURES
The 2014 Burgundy vintage, despite a challenging start, ultimately yielded good wines, with a mild, dry spring and warm conditions preceding a hailstorm. This Arnoux-Lachaux Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru 2014 was vinified entirely with whole clusters and aged in 80% new oak, a first for this wine in this vintage. The domaine's parcel is situated in the highest, windiest part of the grand cru. Expect an intense floral character, with notes of red cherry, plum, and earthy aromas. It is rich, full-bodied, and well-concentrated, offering excellent mid-palate fat. Further tasting reveals bright, precise berry fruit, high-toned notes, and a lithe, lovely texture with a super-pretty finish. Other descriptors include red berries, spices, pepper, crushed stone, earthy minerals, smoke, dark fruit like blackberry, violet, perfume, rose petal, oak, chocolate, and tobacco.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy pairs beautifully with classic dishes such as duck, goose, and other game birds. It also complements beef, veal, and poultry.
🥂 This wine is currently ready to drink but also possesses the structure to age further. It's perfect for a contemplative evening, a special anniversary, or a serious tasting among connoisseurs. 【100% whole cluster and 80% new oak, a first for this wine in 2014】
