The 2007 Gaja Ca'Marcanda Promis is a delightful Super Tuscan blend from the iconic Angelo Gaja, combining Merlot, Syrah, and Sangiovese grown in Tuscany's unique 'terre brune' soils. The vintage benefited from hot summer days, brisk sea air, and cool nights, creating a wine that is both elegant and approachable. On the nose, expect inviting aromas of cedar, tobacco, and cherry, evolving into complex notes of dark chocolate, cherry liqueur, spice, blackberry, and moist tobacco. The palate is soft and smooth, offering flavors of black pepper, cherry, and fig with a full body and polished texture, leading to a long finish. Some tasters even note a distinctive 'barnyard' aroma, often a sign of higher-quality wines. 🍴 This versatile red pairs wonderfully with beef, venison, chicken, game, pasta with red sauces, pizza, and charcuterie. 🥂 The 2007 Promis is perfect for a family celebration or an important business dinner, offering both immediate pleasure and the potential for further aging. 【Combines the elegance and suppleness of Merlot and Syrah with the austerity of Sangiovese】
