FEATURES
L'Anglore's Sels d'Argent comes from one of the most highly sought-after estates among discerning wine enthusiasts, led by Eric Pfifferling. A former beekeeper, Pfifferling transitioned to winemaking after witnessing the devastating effects of insecticides on his bees, now championing biodynamic and natural viticulture. The wines are crafted using whole-bunch fermentation with native yeasts and carbonic maceration, remaining unfiltered. They are celebrated for their finesse, generosity, pure fruit expression, and freshness, earning them the affectionate moniker 'Beaujolais of the South'. While the 2023 vintage is very recent, it is anticipated to be enjoyable from 2025 to 2033.
General tasting notes for Sels d'Argent (across vintages) often highlight tree fruit notes like melon, pear, and peach, alongside earthy undertones of honey, minerals, and stone. Yeasty notes of oil and cream can also be present, complemented by spices such as white pepper, and floral hints of chamomile and honeysuckle. Some vintages reveal a wild, waxy nose with peachy stone fruit, subtle volatile notes, and creamy oak, leading to a palate of apricots, apple jam, and a touch of leathery funk. 【Highly coveted natural wine from a former beekeeper, known for finesse, generosity, and pure fruit, nicknamed 'Beaujolais of the South'】
