FEATURES
The 2018 Dujac Fils & Père Morey-Saint-Denis comes from the highly regarded Dujac estate, known for its organic and partially biodynamic vineyard practices and a philosophy of minimal intervention. The 2018 vintage, despite being a warm year, saw Dujac achieve a fine balance in their wines, avoiding excessive heat or alcohol thanks to a long harvest and careful vinification, including around 80% whole-cluster fermentation.
Tasting notes for this Morey-Saint-Denis highlight a wine with forward fruit, a fine level of ripeness, and a lovely mid-palate texture and freshness. It presents an expressive nose of ripe berries, spices, a touch of oak, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fleshy, and layered, with blue fruits, purple flowers, and menthol, balanced by vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins, promising excellent aging potential. Flavours of raspberry, plum, and subtle citrus are complemented by a gentle savoury character and a mineral undertone.
🍴 Food pairing suggestions include a turkey feuilleté. More broadly, this elegant Pinot Noir would be superb with roasted duck, mushroom-based dishes, and a selection of soft, earthy cheeses.
🥂 This wine offers fine drinkability for short to medium-term enjoyment, but also possesses the structure to age gracefully for several years. It's an excellent choice for a special dinner, perhaps paired with a rich duck breast, allowing it to evolve in the glass over the evening. 【Highly regarded Burgundy producer known for balance, elegance, and whole-cluster fermentation】
