🏰Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey's 2018 Chassagne Montrachet Les Baudines 1er Cru is an 【excellent and beautifully composed wine with minerality as a powerful backbone】, reflecting the winemaker's focus on freshness and minerality that has garnered a cult following. The 2018 Burgundy vintage was largely very good for whites, marked by a hot, dry growing season. This wine displays a bright pale gold color with intense floral notes, orange blossom, lemon pith, and fine oak spice. The palate is intensely citrusy with well-integrated oak, offering a very long finish with fine, unobtrusive acidity. Expect notes of white peach, melon, and a subtle citrus kick, alongside buttery, nutty, and floral Chardonnay characteristics.
🍴 This elegant white Burgundy is a superb match for chicken and turkey dishes, pasta, and cured meats. Specific recommendations include cod mousse, BLT sandwiches, smoked haddock, and Comte cheese.
🥂 Ideal for sophisticated dining experiences, celebrations, or as a cherished addition to a cellar, with a drinking window from 2023 to 2032.
