The 2021 Domaine Anne Gros Bourgogne Rouge is a classic Pinot Noir, bursting with red fruit. Neal Martin rated it 85-87/100, noting a fine bright nose with Morello cherry and strawberry, quite citric with time. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and is cohesive, though some critics suggest it could benefit from more grip and substance on the finish. Barrel aging in 30% new oak contributes weight and suppleness, softening the tannins. Allen Meadows of Burghound gave it 86 points, and Jasper Morris MW scored it 87-88 points. This wine is known for its hedonistic grace and relaxed, holistic style, delivering joyful balance year after year. 【Anne Gros is considered one of the top winemakers in Burgundy, inspiring a cult-like following for her limited production wines】.
🍴 Food Pairing: This versatile Bourgogne Rouge will accompany white and red meat, whether roasted or cooked in wine sauces, charcuterie, and soft cheeses. Its red fruit and earthy notes also make it a good match for pork sausages with herbs.
🥂 Event Suggestions: This wine is perfect for a casual yet elegant dinner, a weekend lunch with friends, or as an everyday drinking Burgundy. Its approachable style also makes it a great choice for a housewarming gift or a picnic.
