L'Arbre Blanc Les Petites Orgues 2016 is a red wine from Auvergne, France, produced by Frédéric Gounan and his wife Caroline. Frédéric, originally a mechanic, returned to his family's farming roots in Saint-Sandoux, planting Pinot Noir in 2000 on basaltic soils. The estate is known for its natural winemaking approach. The 2016 vintage, made from Pinot Noir, has been described as opaque and hazy light red in color, bursting with red berries. A tasting note from June 2025 suggests that after some decanting, it blossoms into a beautifully perfumed and extremely giving wine, scoring in the 92-93 range and noted for its enjoyable, 'soif' (thirst-quenching) quality. 【Natural wine from volcanic soils in Auvergne】.
Food pairing suggestions: Given its Pinot Noir varietal and fresh, berry-driven profile, it would pair wonderfully with roasted chicken or duck, pork tenderloin, mushroom-based dishes, or lighter charcuterie.
Event suggestions: This delightful and fresh red is perfect for a casual dinner with friends, a summer picnic, or any occasion where a light-bodied, aromatic, and highly drinkable red wine is desired.
