FEATURES
The 2019 Okonomierat Rebholz Muskateller hails from a German vintage that, despite being small, was marked by excellent quality. A hot, dry summer led to reduced yields, but the grapes that survived ripened beautifully, contributing to fresh and elegant wines. Okonomierat Rebholz is a pioneer in organic and natural winemaking, having been certified biodynamic since 2006. Their philosophy champions dry, fully fermented wines that express pronounced typicity, elegance, and remarkable aging potential through minimal intervention, avoiding deacidification, enrichment, or fining. This estate is renowned for its uncompromisingly dry, mineral-driven Rieslings and fine Pinots, alongside aromatic specialties like Muskateller.
This Muskateller presents a medium straw yellow color. It is highly aromatic, bursting with notes of bergamot, greengages, mirabelle plums, and green pineapple, complemented by hints of lime, cool stone, and dry herbs. On the palate, it is bone-dry, vibrantly lively, and exceptionally fresh and expressive. Expect flavors of Earl Grey, lime, green stone fruit, a subtle touch of Muscat, grape, and a slice of ginger. The wine boasts high acidity (7.9 g/l) and very low residual sugar (1.4 g/l), contributing to its crisp profile. 【Uncompromisingly dry, biodynamically farmed Muskateller with vibrant freshness and aromatic complexity.】
Food pairing suggestions include a sushi platter, shrimp frittata with green asparagus, or crispy pork belly with pear chutney. It also pairs well with shellfish, spicy dishes, and lean fish.
This wine is perfect for an aperitif on a warm evening, a summer garden party, or as a refreshing companion to light, aromatic dishes. Its organic and biodynamic credentials make it an excellent choice for those who appreciate sustainable viticulture.
