Charles Lachaux, Aloxe Corton Les Valozieres 1er Cru, 2023
🏰 The 2023 Burgundy vintage is still very young, but early indications suggest a promising year, though specific vintage reports are still emerging. Charles Lachaux is a rising star and cult producer in Burgundy, known for his radical, natural winemaking approach, including 100% whole cluster fermentation, minimal sulfur, and a focus on expressing individual terroir with extreme precision. His Aloxe Corton Les Valozieres 1er Cru would be a vibrant and energetic expression of Pinot Noir, showcasing bright red fruit, floral notes, and a distinctive mineral tension, reflecting Lachaux's signature style and the character of the Aloxe-Corton appellation. 【Avant-garde natural winemaking from a cult producer, emphasizing terroir purity】.
🍴 This youthful and expressive red Burgundy would pair wonderfully with roasted chicken, duck confit, mushroom-based dishes, or lighter game. It also complements charcuterie and mild, earthy cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for a contemporary wine tasting, a dinner with friends who appreciate cutting-edge Burgundy, or to experience the innovative spirit of a new generation of winemakers.
