🏰From the highly sought-after Pierre Boisson, this 2017 Auxey-Duresses En Reugne 1er Cru is a 【terroir-expressive red 布根地 (Burgundy)】 that showcases the family's two-century legacy in winemaking. This Premier Cru red 【bursts with cherries, dried flowers, blackcurrant, and rich soil aromas】. On the palate, it offers a 【juicy core of expressive fruit and melted tannins】, culminating in an impressively lengthy finish. Pierre Boisson's minimalist yet precise winemaking ensures finesse, balance, and elegance in their reds.
🍴 This vibrant red 布根地 (Burgundy) is a fantastic match for roasted poultry like guinea fowl or duck breast with cherry sauce. It also shines with earthy mushroom dishes, pork tenderloin, or even a classic Coq au Vin. For an Eastern pairing, consider Cantonese roast goose or a delicate braised pigeon.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory meal with close friends or a special family gathering. It's a wine that speaks of tradition and quality. As a relatively young 1er Cru, decant for 1-2 hours to allow it to fully open up. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
