The 2006 vintage is noted for its balanced acidity and aromatic freshness.
【An amazingly pure Champagne with a perfect balance between indulgent roundness and elegance.】
This Champagne displays an attractive deep golden color with a continuous thread of lingering bubbles. The nose is instantly powerful and complex, revealing maturity with aromas of quince, apple, dried fruits, marzipan, Medjool dates, caramel, and hints of frangipane and toasted brioche. On the palate, it is creamy, voluptuous, and well-balanced, with a full-bodied structure. Flavors include gingerbread, citrus confectionery, sweet cherries, stewed and baked apples, ripe stone fruits, cinnamon, and chalk. The long-lasting aftertaste boasts sumptuous almond nuttiness balanced with citrus freshness, leading to a warm, remarkably long finish.
This exquisite Champagne is a pure delight to be savored by itself or as an aperitif. It pairs wonderfully with rich and refined dishes, enhancing poultry prepared in a sweet-and-savory style, such as capon with apricots or dates, as well as delicately roasted feathered game. It's also an ideal companion to foie gras served on toasted brioche or fine seafood accompanied by a creamy sauce. Some suggest it as a "midnight Champagne for noble jazz clubs with fine piano music, or to be matched with noble cigars."
