FEATURES
🏰 The 2019 Chateau Chasse Spleen is a highly regarded Moulis-en-Médoc Bordeaux, celebrated for being 【a hidden gem that regularly outperforms many of the Médoc's more renowned classed growths】. The 2019 vintage in Bordeaux was part of an acclaimed 'trifecta' (2018, 2019, 2020), with 2019 standing out for its approachability and refinement. This wine offers a very perfumed nose with vivid brambly red fruit, leather, undergrowth, and cedar aromas that gain intensity with aeration. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and cohesive, with a sappy opening, fine acidity, and plenty of substance, finishing with light spice. Expect aromas of cassis, black cherries, licorice, dried tobacco, and wet earth, with a firm and compact structure and hints of crushed stones on the finish.
🍴 This classic red Bordeaux is best served with all types of classic meat dishes, including veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, and game, whether roasted, braised, or grilled. It's also a perfect match with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta, as well as cheese.
🥂 An excellent choice for a formal dinner, a family gathering, or a sophisticated evening with friends. This wine is drinking well now but will continue to evolve gracefully, with an aging potential up to 2045. Serve at 15.5°C (60°F) for optimal freshness and lift. Decanting for 1-2 hours is recommended when young.
