FEATURES
The 2007 vintage for Bordeaux was a challenging year, marked by climatic tumults including a frosty winter, an unseasonably warm April, and an erratic summer with significant rain. Despite these difficulties, Château Lynch-Bages demonstrated remarkable skill, producing a well-made wine from what is considered an underrated vintage. Notably, the second wine, previously known as Château Haut-Bages Averous, was renamed Echo de Lynch-Bages starting with this 2007 vintage.
This red wine presents a deep ruby to dark plum/purple color. On the nose, expect attractive notes of blackberry, blueberry, black currant, licorice, spice, cedar, leather, and oak, complemented by hints of tobacco leaf, bay leaf, and earthy, loamy undertones, with a distinctive pencil lead and briary character that is very Pauillac. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, showcasing good fruit concentration, bright acidity, and suave, saturated tannins, leading to a succulent finish. It offers harmonious layers of dark fruit, blackcurrant, and cedar, underscored by subtle herbal overtones and a touch of fine tobacco. The 2007 is approachable now and offers good longevity. 【 An underrated vintage offering signature Pauillac character and good value. 】

🥂 Event suggestions: Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party with discerning friends who appreciate a quality Bordeaux from a less-heralded vintage, or a more casual gathering where a well-structured and approachable red wine is desired without the premium price tag of a 'top' year.
