FEATURES
Pierre Olivier Garcia is a rising star in the Côte de Nuits, known for his organic farming practices and meticulous attention to detail in crafting wines from small parcels. His 'Les Herbues' vineyard, nestled in the northern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges near Vosne-Romanée, benefits from cool limestone soils with a thin layer of sandy silt. A distinctive feature of Garcia's winemaking is the "baie-par-baie" (berry-by-berry) de-stemming method, which carefully preserves the pedicel to impart aromatic lift and avoid any green notes, contributing to an airy, almost weightless feel in the wine. The 2022 vintage is celebrated as ripe, generous, silky, and beautifully balanced, offering a "sweet" intensity and uniform ripeness. Expect a medium ruby color with a nose of dark cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, violet, fine spices, and chalk, often underpinned by a savory, earthy base. The palate is surprisingly round for a Nuits-Saint-Georges, featuring soft, crushed tannins, a mid-weight core of dark cherry and forest floor, juicy freshness, elegant lively acidity, and cool mineral tension. The finish is gentle, long, floral, spicy, and remarkably pure. While enjoyable in its youth, a few years in bottle will undoubtedly add further depth. 【Utilizes the painstaking "baie-par-baie" de-stemming method for an airy, elegant expression rare in Nuits-Saint-Georges.】
This elegant red 布根地 (Burgundy) is an excellent choice for a refined dinner party, a gathering of discerning wine enthusiasts, or any special occasion where a thoughtful and expressive wine is desired. It offers both immediate pleasure and the potential for graceful aging (2024-2036+).
This wine shines alongside roast chicken with morels and a splash of vin jaune, a classic Burgundian pairing. It also complements red meat dishes, hearty stews, mature cheeses, duck, goose, and other game birds beautifully. Serve at 15-17°C (59-63°F) in a Burgundy glass. Decanting is optional; about twenty minutes of air is usually sufficient for this expressive wine.
