No
The 2006 Domaine Bruno Clair Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques is a highly regarded Pinot Noir from Burgundy. The vintage is described as having a completely different, notably more elegant nose of earth-suffused crushed red berry fruits, including raspberry, cherry, currant, and a hint of cranberry. The palate is rich, full, sweet, and seductively textured, medium-bodied, possessing the hallmark Clos St. Jacques minerality and vibrancy on a strikingly long and remarkably complex finish. Some notes also mention smoky, resinous, bitter-sweet herbal, as well as blue and black fruits, with an exotic inner-mouth floral perfume. 【It is a very complex and layered wine, with good length.】
🍴 Food pairing suggestions include duck, goose, and game birds. Roast duck is considered a classic partner for Pinot Noir.
🥂 This wine is drinking beautifully now with plenty of air, though some suggest it could benefit from further cellaring. It's an excellent choice for a significant anniversary, a collector's tasting, or a refined dinner where its complexity can be appreciated.
