🏰Coche-Dury's Meursault Les Perrieres 1er Cru is a legendary white Burgundy, and the 2012 vintage is highly anticipated for its potential to deliver a wine of profound depth and complexity. While specific tasting notes for the 2012 Coche-Dury Les Perrieres are scarce, Meursault Les Perrieres is renowned for producing wines with exceptional minerality and a long aging potential. Expect a wine with a brilliant golden hue, offering aromas of 【citrus, white flowers, toasted nuts, and a distinctive stony minerality】, evolving on the palate with layers of ripe orchard fruit, a creamy texture, and a vibrant, saline finish. The 2012 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but produced wines of concentration and freshness, suggesting this Meursault will be both powerful and elegant.
🍴 This prestigious white Burgundy demands equally refined food pairings. Consider pan-seared scallops with a beurre blanc sauce, roasted chicken with truffles, or rich seafood dishes like lobster or turbot. It also pairs beautifully with aged Comté or other firm, nutty cheeses.
🥂 This is a wine for serious connoisseurs and special occasions, perfect for a milestone anniversary or a high-end tasting. Given its age, this 2012 Meursault will have developed beautiful tertiary notes. Serve slightly chilled, around 12-14°C, to allow its complex aromas to unfold. Decanting is generally not recommended for older white Burgundies, but ensure the bottle is handled gently to avoid disturbing any potential sediment. Be mindful of the cork and capsule, as older wines can be delicate.
