FEATURES
The 2007 Antinori Solaia emerged from a vintage characterized by a mellow winter, providing an early start and harmonious ripening for Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese, resulting in an elegant expression of ripe black fruits and delicate spice. This iconic Super Tuscan is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese, and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged in 100% new oak, and is only produced in exceptional vintages. It's celebrated as one of Italy's most influential wines, with the Solaia vineyard recognized as one of Italy's greatest sites. The wine displays an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers classic Cabernet Sauvignon character with intense, fruit-driven aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries, complemented by earthy notes, Mexican vanilla, raspberries, lavender, and a hint of marshmallows. The palate is explosive and big, showcasing tons of black cherry, clove spice, and a subtle herbal touch, with smooth, almost soft tannins and a long, wonderful smoky finish. Critics praise its extraordinary finesse and balance, with layers of super-ripe black cherries, plums, cassis, mocha, sweet French oak, minerals, graphite, and crushed rocks. It's described as subtle, racy, balanced, and vibrant, with bright acidity, chocolate, and spices, promising a long, fascinating evolution. Winemaker Renzo Cotarella notes that Solaia truly expresses its personality after 10 years. 【 Among Italy's most influential wines 】
