🏰From the legendary Domaine Ramonet, the 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet is a 【masterpiece of Burgundian Chardonnay】, offering unparalleled purity, precision, and a profound mineral expression, destined to evolve beautifully in the cellar. Domaine Ramonet is one of Burgundy's most revered producers, known for crafting exceptional white wines from highly regarded vineyards like Champs Canet. Expect a wine renowned for its purity, precision, and complexity, typically exhibiting aromas of white flowers, citrus, green apple, and often subtle nutty or toasty notes from oak aging. On the palate, it is elegant, with vibrant acidity, intense minerality, and a long, refined finish. With age, it will develop honeyed and nutty tertiary notes.
🍴 This prestigious Chardonnay is an exquisite pairing for roasted chicken or other poultry, rich seafood such as lobster and scallops, creamy pasta dishes, and mature hard cheeses.
🥂 A significant wine for grand celebrations, fine dining experiences, or for serious collectors seeking a white Burgundy with excellent aging potential.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Ramonet is a prominent wine producer in the Burgundy appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, France. Ramonet owns more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. The primary grape variety is Chardonnay, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted. The estate's most important wines are made from Chardonnay from the area's grand cru vineyards, and are highly collectible, often selling for high prices at auction. Domaine Ramonet makes several red wines from Pinot Noir as well. Domaine Ramonet is now run by Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, following the death of their father Pierre in the mid-1990s.
