Lecheneaut, Morey St Denis Les Charrieres 1er Cru, 2020
Domaine Lécheneaut's Morey-Saint-Denis Les Charrières 1er Cru 2020 is a red wine crafted from Pinot Noir. The vineyard, with an average vine age of 20 years, is situated on limestone and chalky-clay soils from the Jurassic period, benefiting from an eastward exposure at approximately 250 meters altitude. The Morey-Saint-Denis appellation is renowned for producing powerful yet elegant red wines that possess excellent aging potential and develop intricate flavors over time.
This Morey 1er Cru typically displays intense carmine hues with violet reflections. The nose is highly characteristic of Pinot Noir, offering primary aromas of red and black fruits, such as cherry and blackcurrant. With further aeration, secondary notes of eau-de-vie fruits and delicate floral touches emerge. On the palate, it is a sophisticated, well-structured, and precisely defined wine. The tannins are notable for their finesse and elegance, contributing to a harmonious and refined drinking experience.
🍴 While specific food pairings for this exact wine were not found, classic pairings for red 布根地 (Pinot Noir) include roasted poultry like duck or chicken, game birds, mushroom-based dishes, and a variety of soft, earthy cheeses.
🥂 This sophisticated red 布根地 is an excellent choice for a refined dinner party or any special occasion where an elegant and expressive red wine is desired. Given its relatively young 2020 vintage, it possesses superb aging potential, but can certainly be enjoyed now with appropriate decanting to allow its complexities to unfold.
