FEATURES
The 2012 Cédric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Blanc de Noirs Les Ursules is a remarkable Champagne from an excellent vintage, despite a challenging growing season with frost, hail, and mildew that significantly reduced yields. However, improved conditions in late summer led to a rare and record level of maturity, resulting in rich, strong, and structured wines with great longevity, with Pinot Noir being a standout. This Blanc de Noirs is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir from the Les Ursules vineyard, reflecting Bouchard's revolutionary philosophy of single-vineyard, single-varietal, and single-vintage cuvées. The winemaking involves only the first press juice, hand-harvesting, indigenous yeast fermentation, 28 months on lees in stainless steel, and zero dosage, bottled with the lowest allowable pressure to ensure a fine, delicate mousse. Expect a knockout expression of Pinot Noir, showcasing freshness and energy with notes of white orchard fruit, flowers, white pepper, and mint, alongside a creamy, voluptuous, and layered finish infused with spice and herbs. Mature notes of ripe apples, a subtle autolytic character, and hints of butter malt, mushrooms, and forest floor may also emerge. 【Cédric Bouchard is a rising star, celebrated for his revolutionary approach to Champagne production, yielding wines of profound character and aging potential.】
