FEATURES
🏰 The 2023 vintage in Burgundy is still very young, and specific reports for Beaune Les Tuvilains 1er Cru are limited. However, Beaune 1er Cru wines, made from Pinot Noir, are generally known for their deep, intense ruby color, with notes of red cherries and black fruit, often complemented by a pleasant hint of vanilla and good complexity. They typically offer a supple palate with silky tannins and the characteristic berry aromas of Pinot Noir, such as blackcurrant. 【 Promising young Beaune Premier Cru 】
🍴 This young Beaune Premier Cru, with its red fruit profile and silky tannins, would pair wonderfully with dishes cooked in a wine sauce, such as marinated red meat or chicken with morel mushrooms. It's also an excellent match for strong cheeses. Other suitable pairings include grilled or roast pork, veal in sauce, roast poultry, grilled and roast lamb, and roast beef. When young, red Burgundies also shine with white meats and poultry like chicken or rabbit stew, or seared tuna steak.
🥂 This 2023 Beaune Les Tuvilains 1er Cru is a wine to watch as it develops. It's suitable for a celebratory meal with friends or family, particularly those who appreciate young, vibrant Pinot Noir. While it has aging potential of 5 to 8 years, it can be enjoyed in its youth with appropriate food pairings. Serve ideally at a temperature between 15 and 17°C.
BACKGROUND
Originally named Moron-Garcia, Domaine Pierre-Olivier Garcia is located in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was co-founded in 2016 by childhood friends Mathieu Moron and Pierre-Olivier Garcia. The inspiration came from Pierre-Olivier Garcia's father, Jean-Pierre Garcia, a renowned geologist at the University of Burgundy, who gifted him a vineyard in the village of Nuits Saint Georges called "Les Charmois," spanning just 0.4 hectares. Subsequently, Mathieu and Pierre-Olivier purchased a house in the center of Nuits Saint Georges, which they converted into a winery and cellar, marking the beginning of the domaine's history.
