FEATURES
🏰 The 1999 Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile is a testament to the longevity and exceptional quality of Alsace Riesling, particularly from a producer as esteemed as Trimbach. The 1999 vintage in Alsace was generally good, producing wines with ripeness and structure. Cuvée Frédéric Emile is a blend from two of Trimbach's finest vineyards, Geisberg and Osterberg, known for their unique terroir that imparts a distinctive minerality and complexity to the wines. At over two decades old, this wine would have evolved beautifully, showcasing a harmonious balance of its youthful acidity with developed tertiary notes. Expect aromas of petrol, honey, dried apricots, and a pronounced stony minerality, alongside its characteristic dry and intense palate. 【 A benchmark for age-worthy Alsace Riesling, showcasing exceptional terroir. 】
🍴 This mature and complex Riesling is a superb match for rich and flavorful dishes. Consider pairings such as roasted pork belly, pan-seared scallops with a beurre blanc sauce, or traditional Alsatian choucroute. For an Eastern pairing, try spicy Sichuan chicken or a rich Thai green curry.
🥂 Ideal for a special anniversary, a celebratory dinner with friends, or a vertical tasting of Trimbach Rieslings. It's a wine that offers a profound tasting experience and highlights the aging potential of fine Riesling.
BACKGROUND
Trimbach is one of the oldest wineries in the French wine region of Alsace, dating back to 1626. Alongside Riesling, Trimbach has a range of classic Alsace varieties planted in its vineyards, including Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Pinot Noir. The portolio covers a range of styles, but dry, ageworthy wines with great minerality are Trimbach's specialty. The house makes a few Vendages Tardives and Selection de Grains Nobles wines, as well as some Eaux-de-Vie.
