FEATURES
🏰 The 2003 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape was characterized by extreme heat and a tropical summer, making it one of the hottest on record. While this presented challenges, skilled winemakers produced robust and triumphant wines, often described as 'larger than life' and generous. These wines typically exhibit high sugar levels and, in some cases, lower acidity, but the best examples have stood the test of time. 【Triumphant, rich and opulent wine from a hot vintage】
🍴 This Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers an opulent array of black currants, spices, and leather on the nose, with notes of herbs and licorice on the palate. It's full-bodied, textured, ripe, and plush, with a meaty chewiness and ripe tannins. Some tasters also find cherry, black cherry, garrigue, and dried tobacco. It pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, game, hearty stews, and rich Mediterranean cuisine, especially lamb.
🥂 Many 2003 Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are now at their peak maturity, making this an excellent choice for a rich dinner, a gathering with friends, or a celebratory meal.
