🏰 The 2021 vintage in Burgundy, while challenging, produced wines with freshness and precision. Jean-Marc Boillot's Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is known for its exceptional quality and expression of terroir. This Grand Cru white Burgundy is celebrated for its 【complex aromatics and profound minerality】, often showcasing notes of ripe orchard fruit, toasted nuts, and a long, saline finish.
🍴 This exquisite white Burgundy is a perfect match for luxurious seafood dishes like pan-seared scallops with a beurre blanc sauce, grilled lobster, or rich, creamy poultry dishes such as roasted chicken with truffle. It also pairs beautifully with aged Comté or Gruyère cheese.
🥂 An ideal wine for a milestone anniversary, a significant business dinner, or a celebratory gathering where only the best will do. Its complexity and elegance demand attention and appreciation, making it a focal point of any special occasion.
BACKGROUND
Domaine J.M. Boillot (also known as Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot) is a Burgundy wine estate producing pure, aromatic wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The operation is based in Pommard but it makes a large range of wines from numerous appellations mostly located in the Côte de Beaune. Jean-Marc Boillot worked with his grandfather Henri Boillot between the late 60s and 1984 when he became winemaker for Olivier Leflaive. He created his own domaine in 1989 after inheriting vines from his grandfather, and later from his maternal grandmother, Etienne Sauzet's daughter.
