🏰 The 2016 vintage in Burgundy was challenging due to severe frost and hail, leading to significantly reduced yields, particularly in the Côte de Nuits. However, the wines that were produced are often of high quality, characterized by freshness, purity, and good concentration. Prieure Roch, known for its biodynamic practices and minimal intervention winemaking, produces highly sought-after and often rare wines. Vosne-Romanée Clos Goillotte is a monopole vineyard, making it exceptionally unique. Wines from this producer and vineyard are typically expressive of their terroir, with delicate red fruit, floral notes, and a distinctive savory complexity. 【Rare monopole from a cult biodynamic producer】
🍴 This exquisite and rare Vosne-Romanée would be best paired with equally refined dishes. Think roasted squab, pan-seared duck breast with wild mushrooms, or a delicate veal tenderloin. Its elegance also makes it suitable for truffle dishes or fine aged cheeses. For an Eastern pairing, consider a subtle Cantonese steamed fish with ginger and scallions, or a refined Japanese wagyu beef preparation.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a very special occasion, a collector's tasting, or an intimate dinner where the wine is the star. Its rarity and unique character make it a truly memorable experience for discerning wine lovers.
