🏰 The 1994 Jean Marc Boillot Volnay Pitures is an elegant and refined Volnay from a respected Burgundy producer, showcasing the finesse of Pinot Noir. The 1994 Burgundy vintage was decent, with diligent producers crafting good wines that offer charm and early drinkability. Expect a wine with delicate red fruit aromas, hints of forest floor, and a silky texture, characteristic of Volnay's graceful style.
🍴 This elegant Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, pan-seared duck breast, mushroom-based dishes, or delicate charcuterie. Its finesse also complements lighter game birds and soft, earthy cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for a romantic dinner, a sophisticated lunch, or a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy lover.
BACKGROUND
Domaine J.M. Boillot (also known as Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot) is a Burgundy wine estate producing pure, aromatic wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The operation is based in Pommard but it makes a large range of wines from numerous appellations mostly located in the Côte de Beaune. Jean-Marc Boillot worked with his grandfather Henri Boillot between the late 60s and 1984 when he became winemaker for Olivier Leflaive. He created his own domaine in 1989 after inheriting vines from his grandfather, and later from his maternal grandmother, Etienne Sauzet's daughter.
