Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Chambolle Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru, 2017
🏰【From an estate celebrated for capturing the seductive power of Burgundian Pinot Noir, the 2017 Georges Mugneret Gibourg Chambolle Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru is a testament to finesse and terroir expression.】 The 2017 vintage in Burgundy was a classic year, yielding wines of good quality and maturity. This red Burgundy displays a beautiful garnet color, with a nose that gently combines floral notes with spices. The palate is generous and complex, offering aromas of black cherry, violet, and a hint of truffle, leading to a very long aromatic aftertaste. Expect notes of red berries, underbrush, purple flowers, and baking spices, with a suave and textured mouthfeel and a touch of earth on the finish. Some tasters describe it as having blueberry and strawberry notes, with a crystal-like and weightless mouthfeel paired with super silky tannins.
🍴 This elegant Chambolle Musigny pairs wonderfully with duck breast with dried fruit, wild mushroom tart, or grilled steak with potatoes. It also complements roasted chicken, delicate game birds, and a variety of mild to medium-aged cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a refined dinner party, a special occasion with discerning guests, or a valuable addition to a collection of fine Burgundy.
