FEATURES
🏰 The 2015 Château Sociando-Mallet is a serious and classic Haut-Médoc, often noted for performing at a Cru Classé level despite its unclassified status. The vintage itself is considered very good, with typical graphite, lead pencil, and blackcurrant notes. Critics have praised its rich, robust, fleshy, and concentrated profile, with wonderfully generous fruit, ripe tannins, and a long finish. It presents a deep ruby color with garnet highlights, offering complex aromas of ripe black fruit, light tobacco, undergrowth, cedar, and a mineral, slightly smoky touch. On the palate, it's straightforward and taut, with firm but ripe tannins and good concentration, finishing with notes of liquorice, graphite, and black fruit. 【Outstanding value for a Cru Classé quality wine】. It is a blend of approximately 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc.
🍴 This hearty red Bordeaux pairs beautifully with classic meat dishes such as grilled entrecôte, rib of beef, roast lamb, or game birds like pheasant and venison. It also complements mature cheeses like Saint-Nectaire or Tomme de Savoie.
🥂 The 2015 Sociando-Mallet is a wine that can be enjoyed now but also has excellent cellaring potential, with a drinking window extending for at least another decade. It's perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, a special celebration, or a quiet evening enjoying a fine Bordeaux. Serve between 16 and 18°C.
